Mate has offered me his 600lt for a few days, I cant find a short term insurance provider that will do it, anyone else have any experience?

If he's insured on it, and you have 'Drive other' could you use that?

Don't stuff it though.

Ive seen trackday cover cost around 10% of car value per day.
Would that figure per day be excessive for your plans?

Its about £130k car, so yes, wouldn't be worth it for that.

Had no idea track day was so expensive either!

I couldn’t even find anyone to do short term cover for a mate to borrow my Ghibli, some brands are just a non starter

Easiest way is for your mate to add you as a named driver on his policy. Alternatively he could cancel his policy and you take a new one out, then cancel it within the 14 day cooling off period.

I used Aviva last year to insure the FiL's car for a day to take it to the BiL's 300 mile away. We were swopping cars (long story). Think it cost about £24.
