I was on the motorway this morning on the way to work. In a queue of cars in the outside lane (slowly) overtaking a couple of lorries in the inside lane. I could see an impatient driver behind me (on my bumper). “I bet they are going to undertake me”, I thought to myself. Sure enough, they moved into the inside lane and accelerated (no doubt with the intention of pulling back into the outside lane further up the line). But unfortunately for them, the car behind them was an unmarked police car, who proceeded to pull them over onto the hard shoulder! A little bit of schadenfreunde to relish.
Anyone else seen some instant karma recently?

Nothing major but I went to a local sports center the other day and had to wait a few minutes for someone to drive out before I could park. There was a free space but an Audi A6 estate had decided to park about 6 inches over the white line into it, presumably to stop other cars parking next to him and being a potential ding hazard. Still, as long as he is alright, screw everyone else.
As I returned to my car later on, there was a parking ticket on his window. The rules of the car park are clearly stated for things like max stay, no return, etc. and one of the rules was you have to be within the parking bay lines.

I drove into our village a couple of days ago to go to the shop. Coming back requires me to go through a width restriction, and in the direction I was travelling I had priority. As I approached it I had to slam the brakes on, as a car came flying through in the opposite direction, giving me the finger for good measure. Behind him were two fully marked up police cars that I waved through, and they pulled the driver over.
why was there room for the him to undertake, surely people only got in l2 to overtake when near the obstacle?
or was everyone not using the road space and getting over far too early causing congestion and phantom jams further back.
if old bill had policed that original fault by myriad drivers then the undertaker wouldn't have been a thing as road space was being utilized properly, but treating the symptom not the cause twas ever thus. and our road spaces and driving standrads will continue to decline until the cause is fixed.

Most motorways in the UK only have 2 lanes. Do you only drive on the M25?
That's an interesting assertion. If we were to add up all the motorways including motorway sections of A roads, that only have two lanes, I highly doubt they would be in the majority.I can think of:
M180
M181
M26
M32
M45
M49
M50
M53
M54
A308(M)
A48(M)
A404(M)
Are there more?

Which only have 2 lanes?
Most are 3
the whole of the m48Most are 3
A massive majority of the m4 in wales is 2 lanes
Any chance we could get back on topic - which was instant karma?

In a similar veinYou have to be pretty special to do that with a fully marked Police car behind you, even though the whole thing seemed a bit innocuous to me

Thread diversion! I meant to write that in terms of road length there is considerable amount of 2 lane motorway in the UK eg M2, A1M, M11 etc.
Hmm. Except that then, your post would have been : Skeptisk said:

It could be argued that you are getting instant karma - your thread being taken off topic because you made a false assertion in your second post Any chance we could get back on topic - which was instant karma?
