It's a few months old but came up on my newsfeed.

61 hours is not a record... so why has this article been written like this actually happened?

According to Wikipedia it took 53.5 hours in 1933.

Also if you look at the list of fastest times nobody ever did it in a Saab.

I'm hugely confused. Please point out the obvious mistake I've made reading this article.

The first paragraph says it was Coast-to-Coast-to-Coast.

They've just missed off the third 'coast' from the headline/URL.

I see, they call it the "Double transcontinental record"

and the guys with the 9-5 are the current record holders for that one.

I saw it when the vinwiki video was released (at the bottom of the article https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VueVLkUQys&ab... ) it brings the story to life better than the article.
