Has anyone here had any experience of riding Grinnall trikes?
Like to get an idea of what they are like to ride. Post stroke my 1974 BMW looks to be a bit too heavy for me
Thanks guys

When I was a 17 yr old in the Neolithic period, I was lucky enough to be allowed to drive the Scorpion prototype as a friend of my parents was a pal of Mark Grinnall's.

He was a very trusting man to throw me the keys with a closing remark "Enjoy it, please don't crash it as I have a lot riding on this"

I had little to benchmark it to as I had a Rover 213 as my first car at the time, but it felt unbelievably fast, handled very well and felt very special. Sounded good too, with a BMW bike engine if memory serves.

It had no reverse gear, so I had to get out and push it when I went the wrong way down a lane.

Very happy memory!

No, but a bloke in the village had a dodgy hip, which meant he couldn’t get his leg over, bought a Can am trike, which went well, this sort of thing : https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a16581130/200...

Many years ago i had a neighbour who owned one. His opinion was huge fun and hugely scary. Rather like lion taming.

Re remained unscathed, and changed to a Morgan a couple of years later.
