Looks like a case of trying to get back what they spent creating it. I can see it may have a niche appeal for things like charity events but £50k seems strong. There are better toys to spend that on than a weirdly modified MGF.

It's essentially the most expensive Halloween decoration money can buy, with the bonus that you can move it in and out the garage (where it'll live for 11 months and 2 weeks of the year) under its own power.

I'd be stunned if it that thing still qualified as an MGF in the eyes of the DVLA too- would probably be better suited to a Q plate.
