It’s the first time in a long time since we’ve been at Goodwood. Which is odd, given that PistonHeads and the Festival of Speed go together like a cold pint of IPA and a packet of peanuts.

Well sports fans, wait no more; we’re back at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex this weekend, 10 – 13 July. Pay us a visit to see a Lola T70 MkII Spyder, a Noble M600, alongside tribetype40’s exceptional cutup Aston Readers’ Car project that we’ve been following since 2022.

I'll continue to roll out this Noble story.

The first time I saw one it roared past me on a dual carriageway.

We then pulled into the same petrol station and as we were heading in to pay, a MkI Focus pootled past. Female driver, full back bench of kids. Windows rolled down.

They all leant over, tooting and waving... at Dad, before continuing up the road.

Noble Dad, pays up, gets a drink. Slowly makes his way back to the car.

Then roars off again in a cloud of dust.

If you're at the FOS please come and have a look. There are some amazing cars on the lawn and I feel very privileged to have been invited. The Invictas are gorgeous, the Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera cars include my favourite Aston and Lamborghini, and there's even a Ford Transit which is where my career started many years ago. The Phantom IIs are stunning too!
