Hello all, I'm new to the forum as I wanted to ask a question regarding my partner's Peugeot 108.

She recently took it for MOT and it has failed on "Nearside Rear Suspension component mounting prescribed area excessively damaged significantly reducing structural strength outer sill cut (5.3.6 (a) (i))" - Major

I was hoping to add a photo but the option isn't available as per the PH link on this topic (I'm unable to post as a new member).

The "damage" looks like something has punctured the sill at an angle to the plastic trim piece bolted on in front of the rear wheel.... However the shape looks too clean and I'm wondering if this is a design feature (possibly a location point on a jig) that can now be seen as the paint has come off in that area. I've checked the other side and there is nothing obvious to note that it is a design feature.

Anyone any experience with this particular issue? She has it booked in for repairs but I'm not 100% convinced that it is actually damaged.

Another option is for me to pop to the local Pug dealer and see their opinion.

Thanks!
