Hi everyone, I accidentally entered an ANPR car park at the University Hospital Coventry via the exit ( it was my mistake, though I do believe it wasn't that clearly marked - it had a faded no entry sign that wasn't clear with the rainy road surface and setting sun).

When I went to pay, I entered my reg number and it said it didn't recognise me entering the car park, but allowed me to select the time I entered. I put down when I entered the car park, paid (it was for 1 hour) and kept the receipt. I assume it would have detected me when I left (same way I went into the car park).

My question is... Do you think I'll get a parking notice charge, or would it be okay? Is it worth trying to get in touch to explain? The car park is operated by Car Parking Partnership.

Thank you in advance!

it sounds like the only information they have about when you've entered is what you gave them. You've volunteered an entry time and paid for your stay. I can't imagine what they would have to complain about.

Doesn’t sound like they’d have any reason to fine you as you will be recorded as paid per your reg no. I’m sure you’ll be fine, but keep your parking receipt just in case.
