Temporary insurance for modified cars

Morning all,
does anyone know which (if any) temporary cover providers will insure a modified car?
The two I have checked say the car must not be modified, but at no point in the quoting process is there an option to declared mods.
It's just to cover me to collect a car I am buying, the mods are that it has the wheels off a different model (though same size as originals) and an aftermarket head unit, but is otherwise completely standard, however my understanding is that these would still count as modifications.
The two quotes I have done are through confused.com and tempcover.com, but other than the colours, the application form is identical so I assume it's the same company behind both.
What does PH do in these circumstances?

Silly question maybe, but why do you only want temporary cover if you are collecting a car?
I collected a car with quite a few modifications in 2019 and insured it in advance with Chris Knott. Since then I've also used Adrian Flux and Howden's Thatcham branch that all do cars with mods, but I don't know about temporary cover.
Different wheels and head unit are pretty minor items though - some buyers wouldn't even realise they weren't standard!

it's slightly convoluted, but in short we needed to get both new car and old car half way across the country on the same day so that old car could be handed over to its new owner, and only after this was done would I insure new car under my usual permanent policy.
I gave up on temp cover for the new car and instead cancelled old insurance, took out new insurance (because it turns out my existing insurer wouldn't even cover the new car whether temporary or permanent) and then got the temp cover for my wife to drive the old car. All this was done while already running late for a social engagement.
Anyway, sorted now but I am still none the wiser about how to get temp cover in a modified car.
And yes, it felt a bit silly but I did clarify and yes they consider a different style of wheel, even if the same size and from the same OEM, to be a modification. I was tempted to just wing it, but it seems that insurance companies are pretty ruthless when it comes to taking any opportunity to deny cover after an accident, whether the mistake was made in good faith or not
