.....even though it is insured.

One of our cars is currently on a 'static' policy. It is covered if it sits on the drive. But, we cant drive it.

For 'reasons' this suited us. However, I'd like to reinsure the car on a general policy. When I type the reg. number into any insurer's search box the result is that the car doesn't exist.

Even WBAC fails to find it.

However, our insurers know it exists (though do not want to reinsure it for road use). and the DVLA confirms that it is taxed and MOTd.

I assume that the 'static' policy is the issue?

Any idea on what on earth is going on?

Does the reg number bring up the vehicle details if you enter it into something like the Eurocarparts website?

can you add the car reg and details manually? I've just added a car to our policy that came up as something completely different when typed in the reg, just typed everything in manually.

Sadly, it's an old Fiat converted to electric power. The usual systems aren't subtle enough to offer that choice
