I'm looking to get a car battery charger and tbh, they are a little more expensive than I had imagined.

It seems the go-to brands are CTEK and NOCO but, given I want to also attach a permanent "quick connect " cable to the battery, the cheapest from those two brands is about £60.

Halfords on the other hand do one for £34, including the quick connect lead. Reviews on their website are good, but I'm suspicious they delete negative ones. It looks very much like a Ring charger which gets poor reviews. Is anyone familiar with it?

Halfords stuff is normally good, I wouldn’t think they’d be any problem. Before my C-tek I had a Lidl one and that worked well, I left it on the floor and rain got in it which killed it so was my fault.

No experience of that, but Halfords are good with returns if you’re not happy with it.

I have a regular heavy duty battery charger from Halfords that I have had for probably 10-12yrs and it's excellent and been used by loads of friends and family with zero issues - no reason to think this would be any different IMO
