Has anyone recently ordered from Larini? I ordered an exhaust in early November and was told it would be 8 to 10 weeks to be ready, it's been nearly 5 months now and calls go answered, emails are either ignored or responses are vague promises of a refund or exhaust arriving "soon" or "next week".

Have I been scammed?

Why on earth would you wait so long! Get onto the credit card company.

Well I called them, and paid over the the phone. I have no doubt that its the right company. It's more a question of is something rotten and are they still a going concern?

Paid by debit card stupidly, was also stupid to believe constant lies (including the UK small business favourite): "family bereavement"

Get in touch with your bank and do a chargeback. Did one with Natwest on a travel agent during Covid and it worked fantastically. Had all the money back within a day.

I also recently paid for something scammy (custom car mats) with a debit card and was able to get the money back from my bank who took it back from the retailer. I did have to evidence that I’d jumped through all the retailers hoops and that it was clearly scammy but the bank were fine about it.

There is a time limit of 120 days to make a chargeback claim though and OP is over that.

I had a look and it's 120 days from stated delivery date, so will still try it with the bank on Monday.
