If you only had access to drive/own vehicles of 1 manufacturer and 1 era, what would you choose?

For me, early 2000s BMW would run it really close but I would go 80s Mercedes-Benz.

I think the 450 SEL 6.9 just creeps in?

Not so keen on the W126 saloon but I do love the 560 SEC coupe.

190E 2.5-16 (some say this is a better car than the contemporary E30 M3).

S124 the perfect family estate car?

R107 SL is pure 80s but I think the R129 might just creep in as well?

500E may have been early 90s but same era...

So you can only own cars from one manufacturer and one era/generation, what would your choice be?

Not as fancy as Merc, but I'd say:

Ford circa 1999 - Ka/Fiesta/Puma/Focus/Mondeo/Cougar
Peugeot circa 1995 - 106/306/406/605
BMW circa 2004 - E46 3-series, E60 5-series, E63 6-series, E53 X5, E85 Z4

I'd be tempted by Ford from the past 10-15 years:

Mustang convertible for summer fun
Focus RS for year round fun
Mondeo estate for family duties
Ranger Wildtrak/Raptor for load lugging going to the gym
Maybe chuck in a Fiesta ST as well smile

Nissan really did have some great cars in the 90s, theres also the JDM only March SuperTurbo, BE1 and Pao that can be added to that list.

I suppose that's what I've had since 2014 with my two mid-2000s BMWs.

Started off with these two, an E46 325ti Compact and a 3.0Si Z4 Coupe for fun.

By 2019 I had replaced them with an E90 330i and a Z4M Coupe (the blue Z4 was sold shortly after the photo was taken) and I still have both of them.

They're new enough to have decent safety features like multiple airbags, etc. but not too much electrickery to go expensively wrong. And I just like a revvy N/A straight 6 with a manual gearbox and RWD, which doesn't leave many other options. frown

2023 Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/RAM (or to properly cheat, Stellantis)

A car for just about everything (for me)

Coupe - Challenger
Saloon - Charger
4*4 - Jeep Grand Cherokee
SUV - Dodge Durango

All the above available with average, lots and insane power

People carrier - Chrysler Pacifica

Cheat a little (lot!) and grab a Viper and you're all set
