Your Wedding Car
Discussion
Don't know if this has been done before but what was your wedding car?
Ours was this, 1935 Armstrong Siddeley. Given that the future Mrs H had spent ages, nay eons, deliberating over every other aspect of the nuptials (venues, bands, stationery, outfits, et-bloody-cetera), I nearly fainted with shock (and pleasure) when we went to see the car, it was the first one we looked at, and she said "oh it's lovely, let's have it". Luckily, I loved it too. Spookily enough, a few years later I was looking through some old videos and found some footage taken at a classic car rally, a year or so before we were married, with Mrs H looking at the very same car, and I made a comment "here's XXXX picking a wedding car"...

and an AS Star Sapphire (similar to this) for the bridesmaids:

Which was nice because my mum and dad had a Star Sapphire as their wedding car.

There was only ever one car choice, a modified Rover 2200 TC that my friend and I had built just for fun.

While road legal (at least at the time) it was never fully finished, my mate had plans for a removable roof, full retrim and further bodywork but never completed the project as he passed away 15 years ago. Lots of great memories working on cars with him and taking them to shows.
The registration doesn't appear on the DVLA database so I'm assuming it never made it back onto the road.

A friend of ours is the head registrar at Tunbridge Wells registry office and she married me and Mrs DS after our extended 28 year engagement. We had a dog called Ozzy (who was wearing a bow tie) and two witnesses who were friends of the registrar but unknown to us and each other - they’ve been dating ever since.
We got married, ate some cake and drove off to Dover to go for a few days in Bruges.
Here we are driving off in my 2009 SL350. Luckily the weather was fabulous!

1969 Plymouth road runner. exactly the same as the pic ( I don't have a digital pic of the car i owned at the time)
Hood stripes, air grabber induction, purple shaft cam with a super lopey idle! 2 1/2" pipes.
Every drive in that car was an occasion, this day was just more special, my best man drove us there so he was happy!
Ours was possibly the worst paid for "Wedding Car" ever (particularly for someone interested in cars). We had a poverty spec dark grey Vauxhall Insignia!!
We got married in the middle of winter in Northern Scotland, so there was a good chance the weather was going to be rubbish and also with an afternoon wedding it would be nearly dark when we came out of the church. We'd planned for everything to be indoors other than a 10 mile drive between church and reception in a hotel. The roads were guaranteed to be salted so anything classic or interesting that someone was willing to take out would have been hard to find anyway.
Originally we were just going to use our own cars, but my father in law decided he didn't want to be responsible to drive his daughter to her wedding (mostly a fear of being late I think!). He spoke to the owner of the local taxi firm to see if they could help. They didn't have any wedding cars but did offer to take the light up sign off the roof and tie a ribbon on the bonnet so it was definitely a "wedding car" then rather than just us taking a taxi!!

The best men and I turned up I my brothers G63.
My wife and I left in my TVR I’d dropped off in the car park a day before the ceremony.
As we stayed at the venue we didn’t leave until the morning and the surface had some form of plastic webbing on it which was covered in dew, which combined with a V8 and rear drive meant our first married drive was hilariously sideways the entire length of the car park
