Found this bumper washed up on the beach today (south cost of Western Australia). However the distinctive hexagonal recess isn’t something I’ve seen before and we can’t work out what car it’s from.

Ten internet points to the first person to correctly identify what car it’s from.

Google reverse image search, Gemini and ChatGPT were all useless

The footprints are helpful but could you please place a banana next to it for a more accurate idea of scale ?

No - octagonal.

Looks like a Renault badge recess.

What sort of Renaults do they get down there? At a guess it looks a bit Renault Sandero ish

Too wide for Renault, go back tomorrow & flip it over for a part number!

Footprints will have to do - it was too deeply buried to remove without a shovel and it has since disappeared under the sand with the recent tide.

You'll need something next to the banana to scale the banana. A fish maybe.

From my guess I searched Renault Sandero out of curiousity.

The recess is off-centre so unlikely to be for a badge. We dont have many Renaults at all, but given the ocean currents it could easily be from another country - the beach is 3hrs from the nearest large town.

Here s one the same colour.

I think we are looking at half a bumper, the Renault recess is the centre of it (obviously). The parts above are the mounting areas underneath where the bonnet shuts.

Fog light area looks a good match too.

Towing eye cover looks to be in the right place for that, too.

Well played! A car I've never heard of, identified from half a bumper.

Excellent, the Sandero has finally found it's rightful place in the world.
