Always had a soft spot for the GTi-16, but ancient history now, of course. Say what you like about the Corolla, but most OEMs would love a nameplate with that degree of ubiquity.

Seeing the photo of this one has bought the memories flooding back of the light metallic green C plate GTi
( C 609 EMP ) that a Late pal Darren owned in the late 80s.
He raved about it & in his soon to be divorce, he lost out big time, simply to keep his beloved Corolla.

These Corolla GTi, must be incredibly rare now.
