Denbies Sunday Service | 06/09
With Annual Service complete, it's back to our regular events - starting with Denbies and Ranmore Fine Motor Cars...

On September 6th, we’ll be hosting our first Sunday Service since our trip to Car Barn Beamish back in June. This time, we’ll be heading to the beautiful Denbies Wine Estate, nestled in the Surrey Hills and spanning over 265 acres.
We’ll be joined by PistonHeads dealer Ranmore Fine Motor Cars, who you may be familiar with from PistonHeads On The Beach (with their brilliant Jensen Interceptor restomod) or from popping up in our Spotted and Classifieds sections. They’re also one of the newest official Morgan dealerships in the UK, which means they’ll be showcasing the new Supersport 400 on the day. You’ll find them set up right next to the PH pop-up shop.
As always, we’ll have a dedicated space for PistonHeads display car parking. Once you come through the main entrance, please follow the signs and PistonHeads flags, and make sure to have your ticket ready. You can book your tickets here, but be warned - they are selling out very fast.

If you don’t have a ticket, you’ll be redirected to the public parking area a little further on. Equally, if you fancy popping along but don’t have a car to display, you won’t need to register for a ticket at all and can join the public parking near the main building.
Our Sunday Service will run at our usual time of 9am to midday. Parking and food will be available from the start, and there is no strict departure time, as Denbies remains open until 17:30. Make sure to stick around, take in the views, and explore the vast grounds of one of England's largest single-make wine estates.
All food and drink will be available from the main building, with the Hatch on the Lawn and the conservatory restaurant open from 09:00. Please note that while dogs are very welcome at Denbies, they cannot go inside. Fortunately, the Hatch on the Lawn is - as you’ve probably guessed - outdoors and provides a great takeaway option. We look forward to seeing you there!

Date: Sunday 6th September
Timings: 09:00 - 12:00
Cost: Free
Space: 275 spaces
Address: Denbies Wine Estate Ltd, London Road, Dorking, Surrey, RH5 6AA

Anyway I'm looking forward to it as it's only about 20 miles away, although getting home won't be much fun on the A24 with 40 average cameras and the M25 typically being a crawling roadblock.

FWIW there is a smaller car meet there on the first Sunday of every month.

Denbies also hosts one of my favourite breweries for cask ale - Surrey Hills breweries is round the back. Their Ranmore beer is really good and only 3.8% if you're driving.

I will be going up the hill in the 370z this year - hoping for a dry day!

And if the stickers arrive in time, possibly this too...
Sorry to hi-jack the thread!
t for real? I've heard about it on Top Gear but, you know, coming out of Clarkson's mouth so... I kinda take it with a grain of salt. Oh, yeah, I'm Finnish so I really don't know. We just have the death penalty for speeding which is deterrent enough, on occasion.Fun fact though: the speed trap camera software has been updated in... wherever it goes, the Wolf's Lair in Helsinki, I guess, but not in the actual cameras... Because the technology is too expensive, or nobody knows how to do it, or it simply can't be done. So... the next time you find yourself blasting, say from Rovaniemi to Tampere, some 800 km in the middle of the nightless night with absolutely zero (not kidding) other cars around---floor it. Enjoy. I promise, about 99.999 per cent of the cameras are just ugly posts on the side of the road.
