How anyone could let such a superb car get in to such a state is beyond me weeping

So what is it then? A Merak??

Trouble with these smaller 'super' cars is they still cost a fortune to restore but aren't worth much at the end of it.

What is it? An old Lambo or Maser?

Shame, though seventies Soviet imported Italian steel does that very well...

It's a DeTomaso Pantera.

It's also a crime

In arty kinda way I think it looks quite cool. Although to be fair I would rather see it restored and on my driveway!

A Pantera L like that makes about £28-£35k. Not sure the restoration costs would cover it.

But surely someone with the necessary owes it to a car like this?

Ahhh, so it is, a quick look in my "Bluebird book of rusty 70's Italian exotica" has just confirmed.

that's the sort of project I'd get suckered into "not wanting to let it go to waste" then wonder WTF I was doing half way through when I've remortgaged the house to end up with something worth only a quarter the debt on it.

There is a point when even an exotic just isn't worth the effort - and unless it was significantly rarer than it is, I'd say this is one of those.

Having said that.... where is it exactly? hehe
