Tired of quality thread pilferage and the emerging horror of Sean Conneryitus, time came for a new direction in the way of daft bang per buckism.

Ergo, this, wherein all forms are welcome but there must be an underlying subtext of relative schnell (and ASBO, will you please change your bloody name back! wink).

Reliability and running costs are mythical concepts to be ignored with impunity.

As such, I've always had an empty place in my heart since decerberafication so what better way to kick things orf than this motoring Battle of Crescy ~

I have always lusted after one of these but the sheer ‘scare factor’ of possible bills has always made me somewhat apprehensive!

That said I have never really ‘needed’ 4 seats and should Mrs MattW ever decide that the time has come to create lots of smaller MattW’s (heaven forbid!) then this is firmly on my list of possible ‘fun’ family cars………and yes, I really do have that list……oh so very sad.

Automatic, 105,100 miles, Red, 4.5 litre Manual gearbox, Immobiliser, Serviced at 104650 miles by Northway Porsche, MOT April 2008, Taxed end July 2007, New belts all round, New alternator and radiator. Reciepts of other work carried out. Cheap classic car insurance (less than £200 fully comp.). Nagging wife wants more room in the garage. £2,800

AutoTrader

A supercar for a pittance. This a pretty low milage example and the engine should be good for another 100000 miles. I predict the electrics will be good for another 100.

Now y'see you can get into one of these for relatively little these days, but just be ready with the bottomless bucket of cash to keep it going. wink

But surely this is ruination personified. smile

Stuff doesn't have to be fast by today's standards, contemporary schnellerhaus is perfectly acceptable.

The 'unfinished V8' of the baby Lambo is a corker, if a little too sullied by the patina of Farmer Palmer's livestock. Corking restoration proj, however.

The XJS is certainly fast - to rust and generally be utterly dire but yes, I adore them, buttresses an' all.

Right,

Well I thought the ZR1 was supposed to be a bit quick.

Not sure about the running costs.

This pair might offer a lot of banging but be high maintenance: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/199786.htm

That must be a cat D job, or something: whiffier at that coinage than a Grimsby fishery's WC.

Jeremy, the Lotus Carlton is one of the nicer condition ones I can recall, lovely but old Domster reckons they are less than the legend suggests...

The 456 is quite low, but then again, I've seen a few going for around the £30K mark.

Take one of these

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/193350.htm

and take it to Dreadnaught for the bolt on Supercharger conversion and depending on how fast you want it to go you can have between 400 and 500hp. nuts

All for less than £20k

You may not get your money back, but oh boy think of the fun!
