These three cars are now all available within about 10k of each other give or take. The Vantage prices stunned me when I looked!

They're very similar cars in some respects, wonderful noises, great engines (let's spare the TVR bashing for later), great handling and similar proportions.

What would you guys choose in the near future if you had the choice of spending about £55k?

Consider: satisfaction, ease of running, costs, depreciation practicality and intangibles!

I think the Aston is hard to resist once it drops to £50-55k for a good one. Sagaris is really wonderfully old school to drive and I do love them, but the 360M is a Ferrari and that has got to count for something too!

The Saggy is quite a lot cheaper than the other two, is it not? Plus it's quite a lot less refined than the others.

I'd go with the Ferrari or Aston.

Have to be the Aston for me - just seems so much 'classier' than the other two.

I would pick the Vantage, although it is probably my least favourite brand out of the three.

There's a few reasons. Firstly, it looks and sounds rather lovely, which is good. Secondly, it's a current-run model, so it's still up to date (although this may not be important to some). Third, servicing costs will probably be lowest on this one too (or at least lower than the Fez). And easy to use every day? Yes.

Although I LOVE Ferraris, the 360 is probably my least favourite - they look like a toy and just doesn't look sharp enough for me (although the sound is heavenly). With the F430 replacement in the next couple of years, these are sure to drop further as well. And if you're planning this for an everyday car - not great.

Sagaris - absolute beast, sounds awesome, and I'm sure v. v. fun. But could you live with it? And with TVR in dire straits as a brand, is it a good idea to invest in one now? They are surely amazing cars, but you need to truly ask yourself if you could really use it every day.

And think about it... You'll have an ASTON MARTIN! biggrin

Not really, low mileage ones are still going around 45k.

Question:

Do you want brash?

Flash?

Or *Northern accent* class?

I'll happily sell you a Sagaris for £50-55k.

If it was to be my only car I'd probably go for the Aston, but having spent a lot of time with a Sagaris (best mate had one for a couple of years) I'd have one in a flash.

The only car I know that can use 9 litres of fuel to travel 400 yards. Impressive.

The point isn't to define them. It's to choose them.

I was going to say V8 Vantage, but if I were ever in the position to drop £55k into a supercar, I'd find it mighty hard not to realise the boyhood dreams of owning a Ferrari..

Ferrari for a week then buy a saggy to keep. Ferrari will continue to deppreciate and cost a lot of money to run saggy will not lose too much in value if looked after and will cost a lot less to maintain (hypothetically)

On the plus side, you stand a chance of being let out of side streets in the Aston.

Looking out of your window on a morning, which one would make you smile most?

Aston. Better looking than either of the other two, has an aston badge, isn't as flashy as a Ferrari, but then again, which makes a better noise?? Aston or Saggie?? :scrathchin:

Aston.

Ferrari looks like an MR2 in comparison.

Actually I would probably consider a Z06 and not buy any of them.
