Did a quick number plate search, it is indeed a Bristol:

Vehicle Registration Mark:
TSF789
Make:
BRISTOL (BLMC)
Model:
OTHER
Transmission & fuel type:
PETROL
Body Type:
SALOON
Colour:
RED

No mention of year, and they're being slightly vague as to the model...

Looks a bit like a Bugatti Atlantique

but isn't, the rear window shape looks modern, so I guess something custom built.

I believe that it's the Talbot Lago Teardrop replica built on a Bristol chassis by Spencer Lane Jones, the Bristol Cars specialists in Devizes. It was a project commissioned by one of the owners of the company as a long term ambition.

The engineering on the car is first class as is the fit and finish.

We supplied the glass for the car and fitted the front and rear screens.

List of Bugatti marques and special bodies editions - http://www.boc.net/gallery.html

Can't see that one on there, I would have thought by the design and age it would be a special Type 400 but cannot find a Zagato, Farina, Touring or Bristol bodied 2 door coupe to match it.

Thanks for that info, never seen that specialist in Devizes? is it on Hopton trading estate? The car was immaculate, sounded amazing too....

Ps.. I know it doesn't look like it, but a mate took the pic, (ever seen how big the A pillars are on a TT, only way he could get side profile in pic!

Thanks for replies... So it is a Bristol?!

My use of the word replica is probably inappropriate. It's the owner's recreation of the original car on a more modern Bristol chassis. The base car was a 1959 Bristol 406 with a straight six engine, suitably breathed upon.
