I have just found out how to add pics, so I thought I would share some of my old pics with everyone.

This set were from an amazing day at the old McLaren Factory and then a special visit to the F1 production line, where the last few F1 road cars were being made (inc the handful of LM cars)

Enjoy

NOTE: Lots of new pics added 9th Oct PM....

This next set are from Goodwood Festival 1994 (year2?) where I had heard Stig Blomqvist was doing a challenge at the track on the Saturday of the event. His RS200 was put up against a F40 and an Aston Martin. His gearing was very low but he drove like a star, sometimes going around the outside the F40 on Madgwick. An amazing show.

This pic is from Goodwood 1999,where I spent nearly the whole day talking to Mr McRae and Mr Burns. It was one of the first times the rally boys had attended and when not driving they were together most of the time.

Another Goodwood Fesival moment...

I paid £50 to go up the track with Peter Gethin. He was an old Team Manager of Senna's and it was cool to be able to sit in the car and ask him 100 questions about him and his own career. I remember that Moss was in the Ferrari and was trying to get away first. Gethin never gave him a chance to get ahead....

The McLaren Trophy Room

I was amazed to find Senna's Donnington (Euro GP) Trophy just sitting there on the shelf. I remember that the McLaren drivers have a contract to say the trophys stay in the factory.

Back to the F1 production line. This pic is of one of the finished cars at the big door at the end of the factory. Some lucky person was going to get this car on the following Monday. I got to sit in it....

I am lucky to have a friend who runs a classic car racing team and I am able to get in the holding areas at Goodwood and most tracks.

Here's a nice piccy of Jack Brabham with one of the teams mechanics
