How long to drive from Liverpool to Silverstone?

Havent a clue where to post this, but figured I would get the most replies here...

Assuming you were following the speed limits, and accounting for traffic etc how long would you allow for to drive from liverpool to silverstone?

It's about 160 miles. So depending on traffic, three hours should do it quite comfortably?

We are going to the world series by renault event, and am in the process of booking the ferry - just wondering if we left silverstone on a monday morning which ferries we could make it for.

Just going to aim safe and book a later ferry methinks

if we could get a ferry direct from Belfast to Silverstone that would be even better!!!
