I am confused.
The second comp has been won, total of 3663 components.
The third competition seems to be asking the same question.
Please can somone explain?

Maybe they added some bits to it??

I foresee yet more Trouble. wink I presume I wasn't included in the second "draw", then? It would have been nice to know which competition my £20 was included in.

How hard can it be to organise a draw so people know what's going on??

I received an email about the second draw but as they released nothing regarding the 1st one I wrote them an email saying how crap I thought it all was and have kept my 20 quid.

Another winner thats local, looks well dodgy to me.

Are they just going to keep giving them away in competitions until the novelty wears off? what then? How is it going to look when Mr Mellings mates all turn up in prize Wildcats in 12 months time?

Second competition result

The winning number is 3663 and the winner of the game with the nearest number is 3668.

The winner with 3668 is a gentleman from Oldham, Lancashire who has chosen to exercise his legal right to remain anonymous.
I'm sorry but it does sound well dodgy, I certainly don't have the faith in the transparency of the process to enter.

So... how does the draw work? I thought they wait until they sell 2000 tickets then enter them in a draw, then sell another 2000 and enter them in the next draw, etc.

But here - the number drawn didn't win the prize - they picked the nearest number?? How are we to know if there aren't two 'nearest numbers'?

Sounds bent as a nine bob note to me.

To be fair what a great way of shifting something that isn't selling otherwise in this current climate.

Fair play to him for coming up with the idea.

It wasn't a number drawn in this competition. You had to guess how many components were in a Wildcat.

Interesting page, that competition one. Where's the second prize come from all of a sudden?

Only if the way it is done is fair, transparent and, of course, legal.

No need for the rolleyes, I was agreeing with you. Say what you like about it, it has certainly generated publicity. Mind you, that will begin to wain as the novelty wears off.

It just appears that they were in such a hurry to get the idea off the ground they didn't put enough thought into getting the transparency sorted properly.

No, this time you had to estimate the number of parts required to make a car, hence someone must have guessed 3668, and was closest to the 3663 actual.

I had thought of entering this time, but wasnt hugely convinced.
