Correction would probably be not far off what the car is worth.

You could DIY it though

T Cut, Turtle Wax Colour Magic and then 3/4 coats of Collinite 476s sorted the swirls in mine right out. Took fkING ages to do it properly though. tongue out

Considering that it'll take a pro 14-18 man hours to do the job properly, and no pro will do 1/2 a job, then what they charge is actually quite reasonable.

You're asking someone to work for less than minimum wage, doing seriously hard work and that's not taking account of the cost of materials. So the answer to your quest for a full paint correction and detail for less than a hundred quid is........forget it!

So the only solution is DIY, but be prepared to spend considerably longer than 18 hours to achieve a half decent result.

The hand carwash here do mine for me and will valet inside and out, then hand polish the entire car for £25.

5 guys spent nearly an hour on my car last time I was there and I've always been very happy with the results. Could be worth a shout if you are looking for a halfway house between a normal wash and a full on detail.

Ah, sounds good. I will check that place out. Is it obvious off the main road?
Pretty obvious, several big signs up at least! It's just on the junction between "Main Road" and "Ship Lane" if you do decide to take a look.

Are you local then?
