Hair keeps coming out my cars exhaust. The old man seems to think it could be the carb? Or just needing new spark plugs? PH Advice please!

Warning bells are ringing in case I'm missing the obvious joke, it's in the lounge after all... but I'll bite anyway...

I suspect it's the contents of your exhaust baffle that's coming out rather than anything engine related.

I had the same thing happen to my car. I thought kids had been messing and shoved something up my exhaust! Turns out my back box had gone, got it changed for a new one, no more hair wink

A bloke I work with told me a similar story, but I knew different. They use a fibreglass/rockwool type packing, and when the exhaust goes bad, it makes itself a little grey fox tail!

What car is this for, you mention carbs?

Just the back box falling apart inside out I guess.

You need a new backbox sir. It's nothing more sinister than that!
