My last post was removed and I have been asked not to "call for violence (even in jest)" as it upsets people.

So I am very very sorry. Here is a re-worded post that hopefully won't upset anyone.

Here is a jolly silly lady who couldn't stay in a lane on a motorway yesterday because she was cuddling her pet dog and draping it over her shoulder whilst making calls + text on her phone.

What a silly lady.

Missed your original post. When you say "silly lady", reading between the lines, am I to assume you said something rather stronger and it got canned (wrongly IMO)?

People who do this sort of thing are total idiots, how the hell do they concentrate on the road?

Yes - as a passenger. Is that ok by you?

Yes, I didn't consider it any worse than thousands of the daily comments on here.

However, it's not my party so I'll try stick to the 'rules' and simply call her silly and just let the picture speak for itself.

Its a fair question though. Ta. Thats alot of metal to loose control of. Thing is, whenever I see anyone driving round using their phone I know that if they have an accident further on down the road I'll be at least one witness for the prosecution.
I have seen the consequences of texting + driving at first hand and it was not pretty. I was a witness but wasn't called in the end as he pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving x 3.

If the calling + texting wasn't bad enough it was combined with the fact that at the same time this woman had a large dog propped over her shoulder, which kept climbing back onto her lap and she kept hauling it back over her shoulder like a baby.... she couldn't keep her vehicle in the lines of the lane for more than a few seconds and it really infuriated us.....

So - how does that work then?

As far as I'm aware, emergency services are for emergencies, fires, injured or dying people and accidents not reporting bad driving.

Unless you know different.

Well you could report it as a medical emergency as anyone who drives like that is clearly so brain dead they could be legally declared dead.

You dont need to call 999 to report something to the police! And if the police were only to be used as an emergency service what happens if you find something and dont know who the owner is? who would you hand it in to? or would you just keep it eh? lol

In the past I've seen similar things and just called Greater Manchester Police, and got through to their motorway division eventually. I agree it probably doesn't warrant a 999 call. Or Crimestoppers maybe?

FFS as someone who owns two dogs, that is insane!!! Especially when she has a 4x4 "dog carrier" with a large rear section perfect for el pooch!

I very rarely have to move my mutts by car, and on the rare occasion that it is in the porker i have adapted a cargo net to keep them in the back!! (and these are never journies of more than 20 mins - thats about as far as its possible to go in one trip in this country anyway)

Well, as much as this woman quite clearly should 'have her time seriously wasted at the roadside' I really wouldn't even have a clue what number to call for 'bad driving'.....

I wonder if the Daily Mail would like the photo? it's right up their street.

This country is full of crap drivers, I was on a 4 lane junction in lane 3 waiting to turn onto lane 3 on the next road, in lane 4 was a 4x4 with an old couple in, when the lights turned green they properly cut the corner and carved me up. Gave them a beep and they looked at me as I went past like I was in the f**king wrong! Learn to drive or get off the f**king road you semi dead to**ers!

I've dialled 999 to report - IMHO - dangerous driving by a bunch of Subaru drivers. The police pulled them all in the next town.

Oh, and I'm not averse to a hoon. But overtaking on blind summits and forcing oncoming traffic off the road (literally) is going far too far.

Yes I suspect you are right. She had that sort of ruddy weathered face and big farming hands.

Anyway, I think she'd not take much notice of a request to drive with greater attention to the task in hand - she'd probably shout in a strongbow-fuelled way "faarkkaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrr yehghhhhhhh"

So perhaps I should circulate this photo? maybe I can make an internet star out of her.

Driving in france a couple of weeks back, a chap pulled out rather rudely in front of me, causing me to brake fairly sharply. It then became clear that he had a small-ish dog walking around on the dashboard, until it eventually settled down to sleep right in front of the driver.

Some people are just completely fecking stupid.
