I like some of the older Unimogs - they are mental!!

IMHO, that one doesn't look as good as the other designs - have you got a link to the tech specs etc??

Unimogs are amazing bits of engineering but unless you live at the top of a mountain I really cannot think of any reason to buy one. Imagine trying to park it at Tesco.

Where can you buy used 'Mogs from? There appears to be none for sale on here or Ebay, I want to drool over some.

I don't own one, but have had a turn in one. Excellent engineering achievement. I loved it! They are a bit steep though aren't they? Do you have someone that can source you one, they aren't exactly a Ford Focus?! Best of luck in finding one!

As for sourcing one, Ive no idea at the moment, Ive found one in Germany and a translator is ringing me back tomorrow.

And yes, I like all Unimogs...but that Black edition is somthing else isnt it?

I can't imagine parking a unimog in tescos being very hard

It just depends on whether or not you want to use occupied parking spaces or not

I can speak auf Deutsch, PM me if your translator is giving you unclear info. And yes, the Black is awesome! Tis what I had a go in.

And why d'you need a reason to buy one, if you want one, go for it!! Must be huge fun off road...

ETA - In a similar vein, I've always thought a JCB Fasttrac with the bodywork removed and a big fk-off roll-cage on it, painted matt balck would be the daddy off-road, a bit Mad Max-ish!

When I used to go 'off-roading' regularly a guy used to bring a Unimog now and again. While we were having fun in our Land Rovers/Range Rover/Suzuki's attempting the big holes, getting stuck and challenging ourselves he just drove around looking rather bored as the Unimog drove around like it was driving on a Golf Green.

Very good but not very fun.

Strangely enough I saw a Fire service Unimog being nailed down the
M2 in Kent just yesterday. Must have been pushing nearly 80 with it's blue
lights on.
