Just got back from purchasing the Sunday paper and getting the usual Red Bull etc and I noticed that some utter has parked their car across the front gate.

The driveway is to the side of the house so I didn't notice until I sat down in the front room that an absolute piece of st Volkswagen Golf is blocking the gate that leads to the front of our house.

I understand people can park where they want on the side of the road, but not in front of my fking gate. There is no fking pavement running through the village, the gate fking opens up onto the lane of which there is plenty of other bloody space to park. So why chose to block access to my house?

Now as I see it there are two options. I park my car one side of it, park the MiL's car the other side of it and go to the pub for the afternoon blocking the in. It's odds on that they will be in the fking pub as it's two doors down from us. Or I could just open the gate on the door of the car as it swings both ways. And this isn't over reacting, people park there all the fking time and this particular has been told before not to park there.

Sometimes I do wish piano's could fall from the sky, a la Top Gear. What a fking .

I thought common decency would have prevailed, would you park in front of someones gate so they couldn't access their house without shuffling round their car smile

Rant aside, if you want to stop somebody parking there then write a polite letter asking them not to, and glue it to the windscreen in front of the driver. It does no damage but is extremely inconvenient for them to remove and they would soon get the message.

is there anyone you can call to get the car towed away?

Or could you pretend to paint your gate and "accidentally" cover the car in flecks of gloss paint?

I think that would raise a few eyebrows in the village.

I don't really want a st looking sign tarnishing the front of my house, and this has been told before to park there.
