... Customer Service Director (in relation to their car insurance).

Back in July I signed up for their car insurance and as part of the deal I was due to get a pressure washer. They are no saying i'm not eligible as I orginally did a quote through confused.com etc.

The lady I jusy spoke to wouldn't/couldn't help me (computer says no) and wouldn't give me the name of either the Customer Service Director (or even his/her PA) so I said i'd find out via the net instead.

I don't want to write in to their Customer Service Dept as it will get fobbed off.

Cheers guys.

They claim i'm not eligble on two counts:

1. On their system it looks like the policy was taken out via confused.com
2. I didn't enter my clubcard details when I took at the policy

1. I originally did a quote via confused.com and clicked through to have a play with a variety of options (excess etc). At that point I decided that the offer I had from Sainsbury's was more competitive and was going to take out a policy with them. Before I did this I popped up to the local Tesco and saw the offer for the pressure washer I decided it was worth paying the extra to go with Tesco. At this point I went directly to their website and took out the policy with them.

2. I did forget to enter my clubcard details (too much playing around with the excess etc) but immediately called them to tell them this and give my clubcard details over the phone. The Customer Service Advisor told me I should expect to get a voucher within 4-6 weeks.

I have seen no notices to stay that the quote has to be put directly in Tesco.com (which mine was anyway).

Feels a lot like a "Computer Says No" moment to me which is a bit frustrating
