Hiring fancie car for 1 trip

For some reason, my girlfriend likes the idea of turning up to her party in a "fancy" car.

Masareti, bright lambo etc.

It'd be a short 20 mile trip with 1 person (maybe 2 if they fit). I'd hire one, but my age and short hire seems to make it very costly.

Someone with such a car who does short drives for a bit of beer money?

Henley area.

Put it in Lounge for a bit of attention and I have no idea where else!

Christ, I don't want to drive it, just for her to arrive in it. IE, owner drives it how he likes 20 miles, get money.

Bet the average supercar owner will leap at the chance to earn a couple of quid beer money, all the lambo drivers I've ever met seem brassic...

Not to mention the cost of getting the car to you - an average owners time is probably £100+ an hour, petrol costs, putting miles on the car, wear & tear etc etc...

At risk of getting 'worst "I've got a nice car" post ever' type replies I get asked stuff like this a lot.
I came out of a shop a while back and a woman was waiting by my car, she asked me if I would pick up her 16 year old daughter from one of her school friends houses and take her to her prom. I am a 45 year old man who this woman had never met, isn't that a bit odd?

Another lady ran across the gym car park to catch me and offered me a grand cash, straight out, to run her son to his wedding, have some photo's done and then give the bridesmaids a few quick spins round the block. She said she had been quoted 14 hundred quid for this from a supercar hire company.

I always try to oblige when people want pictures of their kids in the car but once when I was in a hurry a bloke started offering me money. 'Oh come on, 20 quid then?'. "I'm late mate, sorry". That was on a garage forecourt.

I doubt the OP will get any joy, shame but that's what I suspect.

Part of the 'ownership experience'.

Never got offered a grand, but had the same sort of reactions when I was running a Ferrari.

And mine was a Mondial!

sorry, when did I say I want a 20 mile trip in a supercar for £5? No. £200 is beer money. Go to a nice place in Henley and you'd rack up money quite quickly...

I don't want to pay a company for 6 hours of rental, I'd rather give some cash to someone in the area who has a nice car, who has bought it to drive it. All they'd be doing is going for a blast with a passenger.

I'm not fussed about driving the thing. It'd be a 40 mile round trip, so about an hour of someone's time. You do know, there are some people not out for themselves and willing to help other people.

I was also asking for a company who may do this, just to see prices.

My intention was never to get behind the wheel, or to pay £5, or to put the person out. But for someone to drive for an hour for a bit of pocket money.

I know if I had such a car I'd be there in a flash, I'd be buying that kind of car to drive it, it'd be an excuse to get out there and drive the damn thing, not sit and polish one out over it.

OP go and post in your regional forum, be polite and tell them exactly what you are after. Sadly I fear that unless you are known to a few PH'ers local to you that you won't have a great deal of joy as I presume people that own nice stuff get fed up of giving people rides.
