"...I can't park 'there' anymore because of 'that guy'"

This is a conversation I've just heard between a mother and her 10 year old son as I picked my own son up from school.

The 'there' she was referring to as being unable to park in was actually the yellow zig zags with 'SCHOOL KEEP CLEAR' in two foot high letters directly outside the school. 'That guy' was actually a traffic warden making sure people weren't parking in this area.

Cue my son exclaiming at the top of his voice "Awwww, boo hoo, you have to find a space elsewhere like the rest of us"

Where on earth do these people get these grand delusions of self importance? Why do they think they're exempt from these sort of things? I mean, it clearly says in massive letters 'KEEP CLEAR' so what is it that makes them think "doesn't apply to me".

I'm no fan of traffic wardens but it was good to see them actually doing something as these idiots used to regularly park right along the zig zags, causing a bottleneck and making it impossible for buses and larger vehicles to pass.

Where I used to live, there was a road full of takeaways with limited parking spaces at the front. In the evenings, there would be piles of people struggling to squeeze their way into the spaces right in front of the takeaways. Literally used to be cars queuing down the road while someone tried to reverse into a teeny weeny space.


Nothing wrong with that, except there was a massive signpost advising of a large carpark, that is free to park after 6pm, right round the back of the place. It added roughly 1 minutes walk to the journey

Many a time when I went down there to get food did I observe that, in the time it took me to park round the back, walk round, place my order and get my food - there was still someone fartarsing around trying to park outside the front of the place.

People are just lazy in general, almost to the point of gross stupidity.

For the first time in 3 years I left the house at 8.30 today, the nearest school is 5 minutes walk max from my house and its catchment area is all within 10 minutes. Took me 25 minutes from my drive to the traffic lights just past the school because of people dropping little tarquin and jemmima off in the rain.

I live within a ten minute walk of FOUR Primary schools. FOUR. Every morning and afternoon, it's the same - the narrow road outside the closest school is clogged up with selfish pricks that really don't have far enough to drive before the bloody aircon will start putting out warm air. I walked half a mile to Primary school unaided by my mother or father for seven years then 6 miles by bus to my next school. How many times did I get raped by Paedos? None.
