A quick run out, one mile down the road and lose a core plug. Fixed it at the side of the road with a penny, so I could drive a bit further and run a big end!



Going to go and sit in a padded room for the rest of the day, so I cant damage anything else.

Did you lose all your coolant? Have you run low on oil? Bad luck for both to happen

18 months ago I had 3 cars on the drive, not one working!

Yep all the coolant. Well didn't really loose it, I know exactly where it went.
Just filled it with water to get home.

As for oil, its a daft oiling system. It will be modified before its gets back on the road.

I know the feeling.
I recently got a £360 fine for a very dubious parking infringement at work on a Sunday afternoon. Drove the car 2 miles home.
On the Wednesday I took the car for the MoT. Huge failure due to needing a new exhaust!
3 miles for £800

Was getting a bit nervous on the roads today too. Driving up to Leeds on M1 North, just before J33 there was some firm braking going on. I was OK, had left enough space from the car infront. Just stopped and heard a screech of tyres behind me, looked in the mirror and saw a Transit getting badly out of shape 2 cars behind. I think it knocked the van behind me and the car in L2.

On the phone to the Police to report it and passed a van on fire, then saw a Peugeot have an encounter with a lorry that took the cars wing off.

Was glad to get home
