...am I looking at car ads still?

I've been through 5 cars this year for various different reasons:

1 Boggo Focus - To Mid Jan

2 BMW 545i - to Mid August - decided after a couple of years of the aforementioned Boggo focus I wanted a change, allied to superbarges being very very cheap, allied to non existant interest rates, allied to the will I decided to buy this car. fantastic fun, quick, luxurious etc etc. Unfortunately got done for speeding (104mph) in August, ban pretty much assured. Decided to sell as it could be any time in the next 6 months I went to court and I didnt want to have to sell in a hurry. Thanks to PH ad I had someone interested almost immediately and managed to sell for a profit thanks to the rising 2nd hand market. This left me carless for a potential 6 months so I decided to get a reliable runaround, hence I bought...

3 Honda Jazz- to mid Sept - got the court appearance 2 weeks after buying the Jazz. Bear in mind I am fully expecting a 6 month ban (I was already on 9pts) I need to sell the Jazz as a) I have nowhere to store it as its allegedly illegal to park a car uninsured on the queens highway and b) its without doubt the dullest car I've ever driven. I manage to sell it the week before the court appearance.

I go to court and miraculously only get a 3 week ban. Even the usher couldnt believe what I'd got. 3 weeks later I need a new car so. I decide I need a dull boggo car for a while as I clearly cant be trusted with a powerful car, so I buy

4 Boggo focus 2 - to mid oct - unfortunately this turns out to be a complete dog, enging idling wildly, air con not working etc etc so I get a refund and buy

5 boggo Focus 3 - current car - within a week of acquiring a coach driver decides to drive into me, my first accident in 15 years.

After all this I still find myself perusing Autotrader (when I can summon the patience for the awful new site) looking for a BMW 550i M Sport. I should be tootling about for a couple of years but I've had a taste of a decent motor and want more....am I crazy?

Nothing wrong with looking at what's available for what price etc.

Stop buying Foci. You obviously don't like them, get something that is practical AND fun.
Just to be predictable an Alfa 145 cloverleaf would be a good choice, cheep, even for a decent one, and chuckable fun.

Go get a nissan almera or Qashqai, depending on your budget. That will make you appreciate the Focus a hell of a lot more!

No harm in looking, I probably spend a million hours a day in PH classifieds or AT-mail, pretending I have lots and lots of money to spunk.

Just forget the Foci, they don't like you.

Incidently, what happens to the number of points on your licence after this? Are you still on 9 and this was a different ban, or did you get banned for totting up, and what happens to the points now? You have to declare 12 on insurance?

It was a straight ban, still on 9 pts

Nope, North London...accident happened on the North Circ near Brent Cross.
