Yup, i currently live in mosbrough and work in rotherham, so i can normally get to work quite quickly jumping on the m1 and then coming off at the meadowhall junction but the pricks bks it all up. Have to set off for work 20 mins earlier now.

Use the A2 to get to work? All that money spent on a new road layout, and its still unbelievably st.

It's getting from the estste that we work on (right next to the QE2 bridge) out to the motorway that's the issue. Whichever way you go, there's traffic.

Hey Matt, I'm pretty close to Mosborough, and I also work in Rotherham (Brinsworth). I set of this morning @ 7:30 and was at work by 7:45. I wouldn't use the M1, It's better to go through Handsworth / Woodhouse / Orgreave / Catcliffe.

Or if the traffic isn't too bad you can get on the link road to the parkway and then down to J33.

Do people still actually buy things from shops? I thought they were just places to go if you really really wanted to look at something before buying it on the internet?

OP - well you're a bit of a misery aren't you. Where's your Christmas spirit and warmth for your fellow man?

I'm on a diet and the office is full of women bringing in cakes, chocolates and mince pies.

I even have to get involved in something called "Secret Santa". As its "secret" I am going to buy something gloriously inappropriate for the young lady in question. Ideas welcome.

Yes my wife has piled the presents in the spare bedroom that houses my wardrobe. It takes me ages to move the stuff, get my clothes, move the stuff back. It must add 5 minutes to my commute across the landing to my home office. biggrin

I don't understand why people need to flock to retail shops to express their christmas spirit, I can't believe how stupid the general public actually are.

A 'fluffy' toy rabbit? You can simply inform her you'd heard a rabbit was de rigeur for a young filly such as herself.

I'm on the south side of sheffield, so it gets easier this time of year.
