Try a Police Quiz on Winter Driving
Discussion
You may not agree with some of the answers however (I say that because I got a miserable 6/10)
PLEASE NOTE the programming behind the quiz appears to be rubbish, it doesn't work too well.

Well, it only let me answer from Q4 onwards and i was given someone elses answers on my feedback at the end, most bizarre!https://www.tispol.org/news-tickers/worth-look-tod...
Agree with most of the correct answers however.
Q - "If you put snow chains on the rear wheels of a front wheel drive vehicle, what are you likely to notice?"
A - "The correct answer was seriously reduced braking and acceleration. The braking and acceleration will be seriously reduced because there will be no traction to the driving axle."
Er... no, the seriously reduced tracion at the fornt is due to the snow not the fact you've put chains on the rear.
A - "The correct answer was seriously reduced braking and acceleration. The braking and acceleration will be seriously reduced because there will be no traction to the driving axle."
Er... no, the seriously reduced tracion at the fornt is due to the snow not the fact you've put chains on the rear.

No, the correct answer was severely reduced lateral stability. At least that's what I said and it told me I was right. A - "The correct answer was seriously reduced braking and acceleration. The braking and acceleration will be seriously reduced because there will be no traction to the driving axle."
Er... no, the seriously reduced tracion at the fornt is due to the snow not the fact you've put chains on the rear.
Me thinks the website is a bit broken.

It's very badly phrased.A - "The correct answer was seriously reduced braking and acceleration. The braking and acceleration will be seriously reduced because there will be no traction to the driving axle."
Er... no, the seriously reduced tracion at the fornt is due to the snow not the fact you've put chains on the rear.
It comes across a little confising - "If you put snow chains on the rear wheels of a front wheel drive vehicle, what are you likely to notice?"
It doesn't say anything about chains being on the front wheels, if I put snow chains on the rear wheels of a front wheel drive car I am likey no notice very little difference to no snow chains actually.
