New number plates required, where best to order?
Discussion
Hi Folks
Need some quick advice. One of my colleagues accidentlly nudged my car this morning in the car park and thankfully the only damage is to the front number plate which has a crack running through it.
Time to get new number plates, but having done a quick google their are so many companies offering an online service I wondered if anyone here could recommend a company to buy my new plates from?
All advice gratefully received.
Cheers

I ordered some from here late last week and they arrived yesterday

Seem to be ok, they were the cheapest I could find at £21 delivered including some new screws and I added the BS number as the 'slogon' to make them 'legal'
Just need to get round to fitting them now.

I took my V5 down to the local motorfactors (Camberly Autofactors) and they made one while I waited. Remember to put a bit of tape on them and drill through the tape rather than just drilling the plastic directly.
You don't need to drill through tape as all plates should be drilled from the back.Ideally put the old plate on top of the new one and use the same drill holes.....from the back.
I would be wary of some e-bay suppliers as their plates are not always legal. I have seen them without the mandatory supplier ID and/or BS AU 145d markings as they are not registered suppliers. Get a tug from BiB and they want to find something you're looking at an FPN. Always use motor factors myself - a lot cheaper than Halfords. As it happens I needed a new front plate last week. £8 inc VAT & did it while I waited. Took about 10 minutes. Need to take V5C and D/L.
