They are remanufacturing these cars in Texas nowadays, and just built their first RHD. I always thought it was not a bad looking car in its time,although the performance is pathetic. Apparently they are finding buyers ......

Mine had a stage 1 performance upgrade (don't ask me).

To be honest, above 88mph I was more concern about the aqua-planing and completely useless brakes* rather than going back in time.

I did love that car though in a retro tastic way though.

Saw one in Basildon a while back. Must have stood walking round it for 10 minutes (genuinely terrible interior!). Nipped into Halfords to buy some silicon sealant and exclaimed to the girl on the desk that there was a DeLorean outside. She looked at me blankly. She had no idea what I was talking about. I mentioned to her 'Back to the Future' - the blank expression did not change.

I had a drive in a De Lorean way back when and found it a very nice car. No road-burning performance (the V6 was over-dubbed with V8 sound for the back To The Future movies!)but quick enough and a decent chassis. Very distinctive and great fun.

there were a couple of gold-coloured original deloreans. I believe one was on display in a shopping mall (centre, I'm english, the word mall makes my throat feel ill) or hotel. But that's as far as I can remember about the octane article on it.

I believe there's also a red one out there?

My Dad used to work at Wooler Hodec converting Deloreans to right hand drive. IIRC there were 20, and Wooler Hodec were the company who were officially appointed by DMC to convert them. Apparently they command higher prices over LHD and 'unoffical' RHD conversions.

Many of the coloured ones have had accident damage, as you can't make dents look perfect in the steel skin without doing that. I have seen a dark metallic green one that did look the mutts though...
