Hi

Does anyone have the results from the Coys auction yesterday at the NEC? Couple of cars looked quite interesting and wanted to know what they went for.

I was curious what one of the lots went for and I can see that Coys post the results about 4 months after the auction!

Anyone know what the 68 Firebird went for?

If all else fails, buy Octane next month - they have auction reports for all the major auctions in Europe/USA

From what I have been told, everything went for way under valuation. Some bargains were had by all accounts.
All I know for sure is the Renault Spider cup racer went for £12K odd which was valued at £14K-£16K.

Good tip, thanks.

I'll be somewhat annoyed if one of the 'bargains' was the lot I toyed with telephone bidding on...but didn't bother as I'm an auction virgin and too scared! frown

Autosport probably isn't the one for bargains. Depending on the velue of car you're looking for I often find Barons (www.barons-auctions.com) offer the best value with lower fees and often lower prices.

The results are out now on the Coys website. I emailed Coys a couple of weeks ago as to why they hadn’t been published. No response.

Now we know why. Low prices and less than half the lots sold.
