Following the 'what do you spend your salary on' thread - I wondered how much we all spend on petrol/diesel for our cars per month.

ETA - this is the total 'you' spend. So include fuel you put in all your cars, but don't include what your other half spends.

We cover around 800 miles a month between us at about 40mpg, so around 100 quid a month at current prices.

Depends where I'm working - when I was going to Leeds and back every day it was 80 quid every 2.5 days - getting about 23mpg overall.
For the last few months I've been local - 3 mile or so round trip, so a tank lasted ages, even though, cos the car wasn't getting warmed up, the computer said stuff like 6-8mpg yikes

Fill up once a week with 98, usually close to a full tank so around 50L a go.

Still costs around £100 though. Mmmm, cheap petrol

Thanks to every one who has responded. At present we have 62 votes and a most odd pattern has emerged:

£0 - £49: 18%
£50 - £99: 15%
£100 - £149: 13%
£150 - £199: 10%
£200 - £249: 6%
£250 - £299: 23%
£300 - £349: 5%
£350 - £399: 5%
£400 - £599: 3%
over £600: 3%

So it's a lovely decaying gradient, but for a massive spike out at £250-£299. I'm sure there's good reasons, but it looks a bit weird at present.

About £600 in the Scooby - that's London and back once a week, plus the 50-odd mile round trip to work and back once or twice a week (normally get a work minibus). £60 fill-up, normally two or three times a week.

£60-£70 a month usually covers daily running to work and back and trips to the gym and supermarket.
