help with 01 shogun problem

my shogun runs fine until warm then when holding on brake it judders and tick over becomes irratic.put it in neutral its fine back into gear or reverse it happens again until i accelerate.can anyone help or had similar happen.thanks

Sounds like your base idle is too low, when you put the car into gear the load on your transmission lowers the revs.When cold your idle (enrichment) is higher.

how can i adjust it.under the bonnet is a mystery to me.

Until you can get a mechanic to fix it you could just lean gently on the accelerator and bring the revs up.
