I am looking for the best murci kit
a lot of lambo kits i've seen are ugly, i found two nice ones but I'm not sure which kit is the best deal
help me decide or link me somewhere else

http://www.extreme-sportscars.com/murci/kits.html

http://www.allkitcars.com/lamborghini-murcielago-l...

I really like the LP640, I can't find a kit like that anywhere else.
I was wondering why some LP640's don't have a lot of the things this kit has like the front has more openings and there's even an opening in the roof.

On the other hand the extreme-sportscars seems like a better company and the kit seems to come with a lot more however the kits seems plain even though I'm sure it's not a LP640 murci.

I've seen some kits where wings come out the side of the car toward the back, not sure if the LP640 kit has this feature, hell, I'm not even sure what it is which is why I'm asking.

I guess I'd prefer kits where I can use the fiero as the donor car.

I was also wondering if there were any manufacturers in the USA that do this stuff, I don't know how I can trust a company all the way over in the Phillipines & UK unless they're well known.

Thanks

Please tell me 'eXtreme Sportscars' slogan is ironic? "There is no substitute"

How does one get over the geometry changes imposed by using those huge spacers? Won't they put unusual loads on the wheel bearings and knuckle joints? Surely the handling is severely compromised donald ducked?

Oh and I lurve those fake disks and calipers - way to go!

How do they not get sued?

And why not offer a space frame chassis instead of using an unsuitable doner car?

Because that would involve some engineering knowledge.

Not if the bodywork mounting points are coincidentally identical to those on an ultima biggrin

Sorry OP but.....No.

I know you want something that looks like a Lambo but for what it will cost to have something half convincing you could be in a decent Ultima which would actually have the performance to match.

If you want to get an idea about the amount of work involved in making a replica not restricted by using MR2 or Fiero donors look here. Although some did start out with Fiero donors.

If I were going to blow £20-30k on a Fiero to look like a Lamborghini I would much rather spend it on 10 years subscription to a Supercar club and get to drive the real thing. Maybe that is because I would enjoy the rush of driving more than the rush of people looking at me thinking I had a Lambo. Seriously the engine IS the Lamborghini for me, so without it the car would be a dissapoinent.

It may be a little while before the OP is in a position to do much with this project- in another post he said

I find it funny that people think it costs a lot
that's only if you have someone build it for you

I have fun doing auto body type stuff, and that's the main reason I want to build one.. what is the fun in buying one?

It's just a car, who cares if it looks like a lambo, what does that even mean? Making your car look the way you want it to is a crime?
Besides this is something you can always add on to as you make more and more money, rather than waiting to be able to afford the whole thing. On top of that you can make it better than a Real lambo without spending $400k.

Everyone is missing the point of this topic, as if no one knows they are in the "Kit Cars" forum :S
Thanks for nothing I'll try elsewhere...

By the way, I would never use the fake discs and calipers LoL
that's definitely not what building a replica is all about

It's also funny how that is a company in the UK, you'll never seen that kind of stupidity in the US. Talking about the fake calipers and such, which don't even come with the kit. laugh

Are you kidding?
My tuition is 30 grand/yr
and how would you know what I'm capable of doing or what I can afford? I hope you're not judging my other thread, the money situation is about the future not the present. I'm going to school to be a technician not auto body, which I can already do.
You do know most celebs have replicas right? not the real thing.
This project is hard for a lot of people (and apparently you) but not me, I wasn't even asking about that since I already know.

Get out, troll.

Lol you have a lot to learn rolleyes something tells me you live in the uk where they try to sell fake lambo brake disc's.

there's a difference between fake objects and fiberglass. Fiberglass is fiberglass, doesn't matter what shape it is. I never said I would keep it a fiero in a lambo body. That would be stupid to have a crappy car looking like a lambo. That wasn't my intention.
Chassi's can be rebuilt and things can be replaced, hey you just learned something new today. smile

what a wierd thread, anyone who builds fake supercars should be shot straight in head, and if your from USA you should have two shots in the head.

Kid pops on on forum, doesn't like the answers, calls people names, then leaves.

Good bye, you won't be missed.
