first couple of seconds into the clip, wtf? Fair enough using something outwith the usual popstar staple of a blinged out supercar but a TR7? Really?

Well, La Roux had an 80's MR2 in the 'In For The Kill' video. Maybe wedge shaped 80's rust buckets are whats 'in' with the pop crowd these days? hehe

^ No more then any other car of the era. There are a lot of solid TR's about and given the current run of euro crap they make a refreshing change especially the soft tops.

ETA. Feck me, you drive a puma. That'll be forgotten in a few weeks, it's hardly iconic is it. The 7 has it's likers and haters but it gets attention just like a capri. The puma is just, well, nothing. Big fat nothing I'm afraid. When it's scrapped I doubt anybody will want parts from it.

The recession I guess. Girls aloud had a TuscanII and a T350. La Roux a MK1 MR2 and Lady GaGa a TR7. It'll be a spitfire next then!

Actually the Puma was/is a 'mark' in dynamics for mass produced cars. Whereas the TR7 was never anything other than an ugly duckling that was put together by one of the least interested manufacturers of the era. There is an arguement that as competition cars they did well but I have yet to see any evidence that they were anything other than average.

To sum up then. Ugly, not particularly well built and not very succesful in motorsport.....but they do have pop up headlights (if the bullet connectors are still holding up) smile

You mean the most successful sports car Triumph manufactured?

A successful race and rally car? A car that was entered in to the Le Mans 24 hrs?

A car that still has a world wide following and owners club?

Yep that's the TR7 biggrin
