Seems people will sell, and buy anything...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FUEL-SAVER-FOR-HONDA-ACCORD-...

Without trawling through all the crap on the listing, it looks like they are claiming that attaching a magnet to your fuel line will give you more power, better economy AND clean your injectors at the same time.

Amazing...

They've missed a trick in their advertising, because i believe that if you attach one to the windscreen washer tubes it will help remove stone chips from the windscreen. If put around the brake pipes it also increases braking efficiency. They're really good things, just rushing to place my order now...

So far in terms of cheap tat, it can be broadly divided into 2 categories, ones that do something badly, and ones that are just bad.

There has been electric turbos, that block air more than they blow, a twisted metal venturi thing that also just gets in the way, resistors that make the car over fuel, the fuel cat which puts the lead back into unleaded, and fuel magnets that make non ferrous petrol repel itself.
You could imagine the problems if you put one on upside down, and it made the petrol stick together...
There is also that exhaust that will net you 30 bhp, probably by using quantum entanglement or something.

And you cannot imagine what they do for roadholding when glued to wheel rims.

I fitted these magnets to the wires for my headlights and now they are like HIDs.

I also sneakily put one on a fuel nozzle when I was filling up and it cut the price of the fuel in half.

You can laugh but look how many he has been selling.

Somtimes I wonder just how people this stupid manage to use the internet. I mean, its a wonder they have money and haven't managed to stuff £2 coins up their nose or something.

It seems our supply of idiots is inexhausable. Can't we sell them to China or something to reduce the deficit?

Its a reverse sell thing. You can tell the fanny (or other, shorter 4 letter word meaning the same thing, starting with C) by who's wearing the lynx..
