Does the A5 not come with the supercharged V6 like in the S4?
Just checked the web - S5 is V8. Nice but too expensive? Should be a bargain used so would cover the fuel bills!
The S4 DSG was rated as being allot better than than the 335i auto in a an Evo group test due to a punchier, lag free engine and great box and a bit of RWD bias on the AWD system.
Not sure how good the Nissan auto box is though but Audi seem to be best with the DSG if reviews are correct.

For me it has to be the Nissan every time. The other cars listed are common and usualy company cars. Nothing special about them at all IMO. The nissan is a different story, it's more focused and from the recent write up there doesnt seem to be many negatives.
Was that a write for manual or auto - Evo love theirs but it is a manual? Do Nissan have a decent auto yet?I've read anything about an auto myself.

interesting to see the young pretender coming out on top.
Personally i am very drawn to the 370Z even though it does (theoretically) have the inferior gearbox just because it looks and sounds so damn good!
Anyway, would love to hear some comments from actual owners of these cars also!

the back seats are not a "necessary"
will be tintop as dont like cab's
Will need to be auto / paddle shifter due to knackered knee
cost not a concern in this situation as does not equate, all cars are allmost same value.
Audi and BMW wil be 2 years old, Nissan new.
what car and why?
Nissan looks the best, probably sounds the best and is just more of a sports car than the others. Sure the BM is fast, but it's still a 3 Series.will be tintop as dont like cab's

I mean why would anyone say no when a car looks this good?

Not quite the same thing, but a friend as a late 350Z. Loves it and other than the slightly thirsty engine, he says its the best car he has had. So much so, bought the wife an Xtrail. Its been reliable (NO faults), efficient and easy to maintain with NO surprises and utterly dependable. Sensible driving saw around 26-28MPG in mixed conditions, but drive a bit quicker and the MPG drops a lot - which is bit of a nightmare as it begs to be spanked. Easy to drive and can be hustled well without too much skill. Rewards well too, with a predictable chassis. Can be as lairy as you want though. In understand that the 370Z is more mature and honed. The engine is more powerful and a bit less thirsty. Comes with that fantastic throttle blip thing that works and is a great car. The only complaint of the 350Z is that it can be a bit noisy inside on a run. Not a big problem, but worth testing before leaping.
Personally, I would be looking at the BMW though. A fantastic blend of performance and cruising - with the new single turbo its supposed to be a bit more honed too. I have to say that the smart money is going BMW at the moment - understated and restrained, the old image is gone....

370z is a different type of car...
335i v S5 v E-class is what you should be comparing.
If the 370z has crept into this then that's clearly because that's what you want?
How the hell is a E-class comparable to a 335i and S5??? 335i v S5 v E-class is what you should be comparing.

I'll tell you a story from the time we (3 grown ups) tried to go on a 200 mile trip in my friends A5...
E = 5-series = A6
E vs 3-series vs two door A'4 and a half' does not compute.
To op: the Z car is the most special one, the only one that turns head and will have the most sense of occasion every time you drive it.
