Are kwik fits open bank holiday monday?

Sorry for the trivial question but I've just seen my tyre is down to the canvas on one side.

My local centre is now shut so can't call them. Does anyone know if they are open tomorrow?

Saves me a real nightmare on tuesday if they are.

How the hell can you let the tyre get down to the canvas. Surely this would have been replaced a long time ago, more so if it is a lease car and being serviced?

Trust me, I've been to kwik fit too many times arguing I need new tyres. Their (and lease company) have said the tyre must be illegal in the middle of the tyre. Or down to the canvas on any other part before being replaced.

They are still 'legal' in the middle of the tread. But now down to canvas on the outer edge.

And again, trust me. I wouldn't be going to KF if I did
nt have to.

You must be mad to drive a car from a lease co that tells you the tyres must be illegal before you can change them. Or stupid.

The deal is that the fleet company want the tires to be 2mm of tread in the center three quarters NOT illegal for OBVIOUS reasons. Kwik fit do not have any say on this its the fleet company who also request that the center have to keep the tires for inspection. it really isn't worth there job to change customers tires Willie nilly just because they want new tires on a car which isn't even theres because its the fleet company who foot the bill.....http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/imgs/4.gif.
