Quick Private Reg Question

I have recently obtained myself a personal reg number

I am in possession of the retention document - Its currently in the name of the previous owner.

Reading through the Guidance notes - I can get my name put on as Nominee but not Grantee

How the heck do I get it in my sole name as the guidance notes also states: [quote] The nominee shown, where appropriate, has no rights to this vehicle registration number

Anyone in the know???

Put yourself as the nominee and then transfer it to your vehicle. Once it's on your vehicle you are the legal owner of the plate.
If you then take it off again you will be the grantee.

And if you can't spell like using a "4" as an "A". it's a 4...
If you want to drive around with a big label saying "I can't spell" then fine. wk.
