Just purchased a low mileage unmolested Sport Spider and want to upgrade it but not too much. I have ordered some braided brake hoses, ebc red stuff pads and vented ebc disc, hopefully that will help the woefull braking performance. Any tried and tested ideas for the exhaust, induction and ECU/REMAP/CHIP ETC?

It's the same engine as the Clio Williams. They respond to the same kind of tweaking as most N/A engines- porting, lairy cams, mapping ect ect.
I'd love to see a Sport Spider on individual throttle bodies on a stand-alone ECU. Yum.

I expect part of the problem is the weight of the car - as soon as Lotus launched the Elise sales of RSS simply died.

Hope you got one with a windsreen! Also hope you never have to fit the woeful wet weather gear if that was supplied.

Interesting car without doubt.
