WTF?

Would an 'animal lover' really peel a cat off the road, put it in a bag and then use it as some form of anti-speeding message?

Where's the proof of speeding here? Bloomin' sensationalist idiot. If that'd been my cat (I actually don't like cats but this is very disrespectful isn't it?) I'd have a serious problem with the cat-baging-fool.

The driver who hit it didn’t even have the decency to stop and see if they could do anything for the animal. How cruel, inhuman and remorseless was that?
Speak for yourself Mr Musk!!

Actually, I'm not sure who's worse, the idiot who put the cat in the bag or the neighbourhood group called.. NAG!!

Edited to add.. just in case you missed it in the story; the cat wasn't even his.

A simple sign would have sufficed:

IIRC a domestic cat can run faster than 30mph.

I'm pretty sure 1350kg of tyres and metal could kill a cat at 2mph.

You'll have to test the theory to prove it.

What a load of bks.

Firstly:

Animal Lover said:
If anyone did see the bag then it might strike home.
What? It's a fking plastic bag hanging on a fence - who's to know there's a dead cat in it? And even if I knew what was in it, the only thing that would "strike home" would be "What kind of sicko puts a dead cat in a carrier bag and then hangs it from a fence?"

Secondly:

A Police Spokesman said:
the death of the cat was not a matter for the force.
No, because it's not legally necessary to report running over a cat, no matter what speed you do it at.

Where does he get that?
Maybe he stopped but didn't have a shovel.

What utter st. Some people should be run over by someone within the legal 30mph.

In a lorry.

He clearly leads a very sad and pathetic life.

I think putting a cat in a bag at the side of the road is a damn site more inhuman then speeding in a 30mph limit...

True, but there is nothing in the article to suggest that the driver was speeding.

Very true, as said above you do not have to be doing over 30mph to kill a cat, id imagine 5mph in the wrong place (on the cat) would kill it.

Sorry I've just thought, that wasn't even his cat. Nice respectful grave.

Hi little Molly, your cat hasn't gone to kitty heaven, I've bunged it in a plastic bag and scribbled on it.

I think I dislike that tool more than the person who hit the cat.

The cat should have been given a proper burial, not made a political example of for his own agenda. It has rights too!

Indeed. Cats torture and kill purely for sport so I imagine the cat had great respect for the car that finally did for it. Live by the sword, die by the sword!

You know full well the cat will get chucked back in the road by the weekend by pissed teenagers on summer holiday.

Graceful death if ever I've seen one...

From what I can gather, the RSPCA asked for the cat to be removed from both the fence and the bag.

With any luck it had a collar with its home address and someone has done the right thing and returned it.

Now, what would you do assuming the cat was yours and you found out what Mr Musk had done?

Run him over, slowly mind, then hang him from his bag?

Run him over, put his corpse in a plastic bag and hang it from a fence.

Mr Musk – who has been involved in speeding campaigns in the town – said he heard a screech of brakes at 8.30am this morning.
How does he know the car was speeding if he didn't actually see it happen?

Perhaps because he's one of those retards that believe accidents can't happen if cars are travelling at or below the speed limit?

The 'speeding' wasn't witnessed, so how can he say a 'speeding' driver hit the cat?

Hmmmmm....lets hope that his mother or mother in law (if the tool is married) doesn't die as a result of any hospital blunders as he will need a rather large carrier bag to hang her outside the hospital if this is his way of protesting
