It has just stopped. Pug 607tdi. Will be PITA on my 90min each way commute with no radio 4. Don't want take it to main agents as they will fleece me.

Thanks for the replies, no phone kit, will check fuses tommorow. Didn't think of fuses as the unit itself was all working. Bit of a numpty on this, will the fuses be marked and if so which ones will be the ones to look for.
Thanks for your guidence and help on this, I would be lost.

I remember a while ago looking at a radio in an AA flatbed (renault truck) i had going to look at the vixen/RGU in the vehicle and the patrol said the radio had not worked for a while , pulled it out unplugged it left it for 5 mins and put it back ,radio worked . it was a CAN issue , if you have a seperate amp it may be a similar fault the Power on signal may be transmitted via CAN-BUS and the amplifier is not seeing it , try pulling the negitive lead off the battery for 5 mins , it may work . But ifthe radio needs a code make sure you have it .
Probably not what you want to hear, but....
In my experience head units are generally protected by one fuse, so if the display is working the fuse is OK. If the sound was working and has suddenly stopped, the most likely explanation (other than it being accidentally muted) is a component failure in the amplifier section of the head unit. So, the choices are get it fixed or replace it. I haven't used anyone locally for car radio repairs, so can't really recommend anyone. If I were you I think I'd see if there's one on eBay.

Hi Paul, I think I had come to that conclusion as well. I will have a look on Ebay and try the local breakers. I think Silverlakes will be my best bet localy, I believe the units are specific to the car and therefor will have to take to the main agents anyway for it to be programmed.
Thanks for all your help.
